Future of Coventry and Warwickshire economy to be focus of free ‘Question Time’ debate
July 1, 2013 Leave a comment
A free “Question Time” public debate open to all today seeks your views on how Coventry and Warwickshire can best grow its economy and create jobs – while protecting services.
Local people are invited to come along and raise concerns with a top panel of politicians, academics and journalists.
No issue is off limits – whether your concerns are about high youth unemployment; NHS and hospital waiting times; services for the elderly and vulnerable amid more government and council cuts; a Living Wage, or social housing and planning housing developments.
Other issues include major job-creation schemes such as the Friargate office scheme near Coventry station, the controversial Gateway project around Coventry Airport, or the problems surrounding Coventry City Football Club and the Ricoh Arena – a project intended to create jobs in disadvantaged north-east Coventry.
The event takes place today, Monday 1st July 2013, at Central Methodist Hall, Warwick Lane, Coventry city centre, CV1 2HA, starting at 7pm.
