Coventry & Warwickshire’s local response to Winterbourne View Hospital

We would like to know your views on the Coventry & Warwickshire’s local response to Winterbourne View Hospital.

In response to the findings of the national Winterbourne View Report, the three NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCG’s) and two local authorities in Coventry & Warwickshire have developed a joint plan for services for people with learning disabilities and autism; specifically those who also have mental health issues or challenging behaviour.

This plan describes how we will transform health and care services in Coventry & Warwickshire for all people with leaning disabilities or autism who have high support needs or challenging behaviour.  We want to stop people being placed in hospital inappropriately, provide the right model of care and drive up the quality of care and support.
