Catch the Bus Week – 29 June to 5 July 2015.
Warwickshire County Council is seeking your views on public bus services in the County.
To coincide with the national ‘Catch the Bus Week’ campaign running from Monday 29th June to Sunday 5th July, Warwickshire County Council is conducting a survey to find out what users and non-users think of public bus services in the county.
The Catch the Bus Week campaign is aimed at driving awareness of the benefits of taking the bus as a vital lifeline for the elderly and infirm, a way to get to work, college, and school quickly and easily, a valuable link to social activities and shopping centres, and a whole host more.
According to Greener Journeys, the group behind the campaign, bus users make 1.4 billion shopping trips and spend an estimated £27 billion on retail goods annually, half of 16-19 year olds are regular bus users, and if everyone switched to just one bus journey per month it would mean 1 billion fewer car journeys on the roads producing a saving of 2 million tonnes of CO2.
The survey will run from Monday 29th June and will close at midday on Sunday 12th July to give you plenty of time to complete it.
Everyone completing the survey will be invited to enter a Prize Draw to win one of 3 Kindle Fire HD7’s. These are perfect for reading your favourite book or catching up on social media whilst you’re on the bus!
