School Admissions – 2017/18
November 4, 2015 Leave a comment
All local authorities are required to have in place a scheme for coordinating admission arrangements for maintained schools and academies within their area. Coordinated schemes allow parents to make a single application for a school place and to receive a single offer.
As well as being responsible for the system of coordinated admissions, Warwickshire County Council is the admission authority for all Community and Voluntary Controlled schools within the County. Admission authorities must set admission arrangements annually.
For entry to schools in 2017/18 Warwickshire County Council is carrying out a single consultation into its coordinated admissions scheme, as well as the admission arrangements for the schools where Warwickshire County Council is the admission authority.
A summary of the key changes to Warwickshire’s coordinated scheme and admission arrangements can be found HERE.
The local authority’s coordinated schemes for primary, secondary and in-year admissions in 2017/18 can be found HERE.
